Charities that we're funding...

These charities all hope for a cure to be found but while looking, aim to provide and improve on the care and quality of life for those who cancer has touched.

Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust

The largest brain tumour charity, with the highest level of laboratory tested brain tumour research in UK. It funds research for both childhood and adult brain tumours. The Brain Tumour trust can also be found on the JustGiving website.

This fund was able to offer £17,245 in 2008, which directly funded an additional six months research at the University College London into paediatric brain tumours. Funds raised in 2009 will continue to support the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

Andrea’s Gift

A Yorkshire based brain tumour charity that funds research and has contributed to the recent development of a brain tumour research centre at St James’s Hospital, Leeds. It funds research for both childhood and adult brain tumours. Donations can be made specifically to research. Andrea's Gift can also be found on the JustGiving website.

In 2008, the fund gave £2,250 to Andrea's Gift Brain Tumour Charity.

Sick Children’s Trust (SCT)

Finances ‘Home from Home’ accommodation at some hospitals so that families of very sick children can stay nearby. It is financed entirely by voluntary donations. Ten per cent of the 2008 total went to this charity.

In 2008, the fund gave £2,100 to the Sick Children's Trust.
